Will Poczekaj

Director – Pipe Southeast

As Director, Will oversees all of Garney’s pipe operations in the state of Florida. This includes procurement, preconstruction and contract management, project safety, staffing, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.

Will’s professional journey has been anchored within Garney, having started his career with the company after graduating from the University of Kansas in 2011 with a degree in architectural engineering with an emphasis in construction management. Over the years, he has worn multiple hats, including Field Engineer, Project Engineer, Lead Estimator, Senior Project Manager, and Regional Operations Manager, culminating in his promotion to Director in 2023.

Bringing a wealth of experience in managing collaborative delivery projects of varying scopes and sizes, catering to both first-time and seasoned clients, Will can navigate complex projects with precision and efficiency. He has worked on over $900 million worth of water and sewer pipeline projects in Texas and Florida, including several construction manager at risk (CMAR) and design-build projects.

He is an Envision Sustainability Professional, and a member of DBIA, WCDA, and the Florida Section of AWWA. Additionally, Will actively contributes to Garney’s Training & Development program, fostering growth and proficiency within the company. He enjoys mentoring and educating members of the water and wastewater community, both within and beyond Garney.

Originating from the tight-knit community of Maple Park, Illinois, with a population of under 1,500, Will carries with him the values of hard work, authenticity, and community spirit. Beyond the professional setting, Will enjoys playing soccer, cooking, and traveling with friends and family.
