Dan Vannoy

Dan Vannoy is President of Emery & Sons Construction Group, a Salem, Oregon–based heavy civil and underground utility contractor serving communities across the Pacific Northwest and now part of the Garney organization. Founded in 1967, Emery & Sons has built a strong regional reputation for delivering complex municipal infrastructure, with expertise spanning water and sewer pipelines, pump stations, wastewater collection systems, roadway improvements, bridges, and other critical civil work.

Dan joined Emery & Sons in 1997 as an intern and has advanced through the organization over nearly three decades, bringing hands-on construction experience to every leadership role he has held. He previously worked as a project engineer on large underground utility and dam rehabilitation projects nationwide and is now closely involved in Emery & Sons’ Design-Build and CM/GC work, supporting construction feasibility, cost budgeting, and delivery planning during design. Known for his practical leadership style and deep technical knowledge, Dan leads teams focused on quality execution, safety, and long-term value for clients and communities.
