At Garney, we believe in taking care of our employee-owners so they can focus on their best work and a balanced life.

Our benefits package is competitive and comprehensive: it includes medical, dental, and life insurance as well as retirement plans. Additionally, we give all our employer-owners shares in Garney’s ESOP.

Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) & 401(k)

The Garney ESOP provides our staff with shares of company stock at no cost to the employee. The ESOP plan is a tremendous opportunity to share in the profits of the company, profits generated by the efforts of our employee-owners. You are eligible to receive shares of company stock from your first day of employment.

We also offer a 401(k) and will match your contributions with Garney stock.

An ESOP makes a difference. A recent study showed that ESOP participants made 5 to 12 percent more in wages and had almost three times the retirement assets as did workers in non-ESOP companies.

Health & Life Insurance

Our programs encourage wellness and comprehensive care, helping our employee-owners and their families lead healthy lives. Our offerings include a choice of free and low-cost health plans, a prescription drug plan, a dental plan, and access to the convenient Teladoc service. Garney also offers group life insurance to those who participate in the group insurance plan.

Our employee-owners can choose between two medical plans: the traditional PPO plan and the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). With our traditional PPO plan, the cost for individual coverage is $1 per week. Employee-owners can enroll their family in the PPO plan for $20 per week. The High Deductible Health Plan is free for both employee-owners and their families.
