This project for the Cross County Water Supply Corporation included 283,000 LF of 30″ C303 pipe, a 1.5 MG pre-stressed ground water storage tank, chemical treatment facilities, cooling tower, high service pumping facilities, electrical building, chemical steel arch structure, sodium hypochlorite system, electrical, instrumentation, SCADA control, and site work. The system serves consumers in eastern Travis County as well as other neighboring counties near Austin. By working closely with the owner and engineer, Garney was able to begin construction prior to final design allowing for completion well ahead of a typical design-build project.

“We believed Garney was clearly the right company to hire, but we had no idea how much value they would ultimately bring to the project. Garney’s involvement in all aspects of the process proved to bring a level of value and cost savings that would be difficult to even measure. I cannot think of a company I would more highly recommend than Garney.”

Ross M. Cummings, President of BlueWater Systems
