CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ENGINEER/MANAGER

Garney Construction, one of the largest and most respected water and wastewater contractors in the country, is searching for well rounded graduates with an interest in the construction industry. The position will include on-site project administration/management of water and wastewater projects across the country. We are looking for a person that can fit into a team concept with the initiative to be a self starter. The job will include communication with the project field superintendent, crew members, and the home office. In addition, effective communication with the owner’s representative/resident engineer on the project will be an important aspect of this position. The position will also include scheduling of material deliveries, coordination of subcontract work, submittals, and scheduling. The position has tremendous advancement opportunities based on abilities. The applicant must have general knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Project scheduling software. Ability to travel is strongly encouraged. Very attractive compensation package will include base salary, stock ownership, and annual bonuses.

CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT TRAINEE

Garney Construction is searching for highly motivated individuals to train as Superintendents in the construction industry. Candidates should have either a.) 3-5 years experience in the water/wastewater industry, b.) a technical degree in a related construction field, or c.) a 4 year college degree with the desire to work in the field. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to manage people while learning all aspects of building water/wastewater construction projects. Travel and/or relocation to one of our six regional areas should be anticipated. Very attractive compensation package will include base salary, stock ownership, and annual bonuses.
